The 6th Special Forces Battalion (6SFBn) of the Joint Task Force Orion (JTFO) provided critical assistance in the medical evacuation of Fire Officer 3 (FO3) Abdelmar Baybayan, who sustained severe injuries while responding to a fire incident in Jolo, Sulu.
Following a request from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Patikul, the 6SFBn deployed a speedboat equipped with a medical specialist to facilitate FO3 Baybayan’s transport from Mauboh Pier, Sulu, to Zamboanga City.
Accompanied by medical personnel from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), the evacuation was successfully completed, with the patient arriving at Naval Station Romulo Espaldon.
The 6th Special Forces Battalion and Joint Task Force Orion stated that they remain steadfast in their commitment to supporting the community during emergencies and safeguarding lives in Sulu and beyond.
