Air Force sends humanitarian aid to Catanduanes

Philippine Air Force (PAF) delivered humanitarian aid and conducted damage assessments on Monday to support communities affected by recent disasters in Catanduanes.

According to PAF Spokesperson Colonel Maria Consuelo Castillo, the Air Mobility Command deployed a C-130 aircraft to airlift 1,300 Family Food Packs (FFPs) from Mactan, Cebu, to Virac Airport.

These essential relief supplies, provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), aim to alleviate the suffering of families severely impacted by the typhoon.

In addition, a PAF Black Hawk helicopter conducted a Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) across Catanduanes to evaluate the extent of the damage and identify immediate needs.

“This comprehensive assessment ensures that government and humanitarian interventions are effectively targeted,” Castillo stated.
