Army, Marines run joint test firing of newly-repaired howitzer

The Army Artillery’s Maintenance and Service Battalion (MSBn) collaborated with the Philippine Marine Corps to test the newly repaired 105mm Howitzer.

The Functional Test Fire was part of APEX 03-24 and the Field Training Exercise for the Retraining Battery of the 18th Marine Company in Capas, Tarlac.

According to Army Artillery, the professionalism and expertise of both units were pivotal in ensuring the operational readiness and performance of the 105mm Howitzer during the exercise.

“Their meticulous attention to the artillery pieces highlighted best practices in maintaining equipment reliability, ensuring the assets remained functional and ready for action,” stated Army Artillery.
