The annual Retail Asia Awards, established in 2021, acknowledges outstanding achievements and innovations within the regional retail sector. Puregold representatives accepted the awards at a ceremony held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore.
The dual recognition follows a year of considerable growth for Puregold, which reported over P10 billion in profits by the end of 2024. The retail chain currently operates more than 700 stores nationwide, encompassing S&R Clubs and quick-service restaurants.
Puregold President Vincent Co expressed gratitude for the Hypermarket of the Year (Philippines) award. “The award acknowledges the clear vision and drive that led Puregold to its most successful year despite shifting and challenging market conditions,” he stated.
The Integrated Campaign of the Year award recognizes Puregold’s “Nasa Atin ang Panalo” (The Win is Ours) campaign. This initiative aimed to engage a younger demographic through collaborations with popular Original Pilipino Music (OPM) artists, including BINI, Flow G, SB19, and SunKissed Lola. The campaign concluded with a sold-out thanksgiving concert at the Araneta Coliseum.
“These awards from Retail Asia encourage us to continue our efforts,” Co remarked. “We aim to further enhance the shopping experience for our loyal members and customers who share in our triumphs.”
Puregold anticipates continued expansion in 2025 with new store openings across the country and robust business growth. In the first quarter of the year, the company posted a profit exceeding P2.64 billion, a 6.5% increase from the previous year. Additionally, Puregold’s engagement with local music is set to continue with OPM Con 2025, featuring an expanded lineup of artists, scheduled for July 5 at the Philippine Arena.
The twin recognition marks the culmination of a massive year of growth for Puregold, which achieve a record-breaking P10 billion plus in profit. The retail chain has over 700 stores nationwide, including S&R Clubs and quick service restaurants.
