Mali the elephant

Visitors take photos with Mali inside the Manila Zoo in Malate, Manila. Mali, an elephant that has been in Manila Zoo for over 40 years and died in November 2023. A team of veterinarians led by Dr. Jason Sumaway performed Mali’s taxidermy, which took 11 months.
