First Gen Corp. encourages hotels in the Philippines to save on their electricity expenses and cut down on their carbon footprint by tapping power supply from renewable energy (RE) sources and adopting energy efficiency and conservation measures. First Gen vice president Carlo Vega (center) emphasizes these advantages from RE and energy efficiency during the Hospitality Philippines Conference. Vega says the Department of Energy (DOE) regulations promoting renewable energy development and energy efficiency now make it easier for hotels to shift to RE use.
