AsiaTV, Exotic by XP to launch art, music collective for Global South, BRICS

Exotic by XP is a brand of entertainment and live shows, producing modern and traditional music, with visual and digital arts. Dr. Xander Pratt is a multi-faceted PanAfrican artist, awarded by CNN for his Afro futurist storytelling, with global sound. Born from Ghanaian and Zimbabwean nobility, he creates mostly in Siargao Island. For the last two years of staying in the country, Xander and AsiaTV released WayUp as the official theme song of Philippine Blockchain Week, and Ninja at Tim Yap’s annual Shake Rattle and Ball, in support of Rethink Plastic Organization.

Between Brazil and the Philippines, with the support of Mdme Cecile Guidote Alvarez of International Theatre Institute, Xander co-produced The African Dream, in Rio de Janeiro. He has since collaborated with Mainstreet artist Zambapiano for funk and trap songs and Celdo Braga’s indigenous band from the Amazon. The vision is to host top Brazilian musicians, in an anticipated Afro Latin residency in Siargao, alongside Bravo creators’ Festival in August.

The New Album AFROZIL is not about color or race. It’s a visual album that echoes the same foot-print with conceptual projects such as Beyonce’s Lemonade, showcasing never-before-seen visuals inspired by Asia, Middle East, Africa and Brazil, but rooted in day to day life, and the histographies of real communities. This is beyond Africans and Brazilians Uniting to record Sound – it is a new union of continents that harness the deepest creative energies of the human body, mind, spirit. The mission is to conquer the NEW WORLD through the universal power of Music. The Philippines itself has been a home to a sizeable Brazilian and Latin population of artists and creatives. No better island to host this energetic surge than Siargao, which has become a hub for local and foreign art residencies.
