A 20-member delegation from the Chinese Filipino Business Club Inc. (CFBCI) Young Entrepreneurs’ Committee (YEC) held a week-long business and cultural study tour in Vietnam from March 29 to April 4, 2025.
The delegation, led by vice president Jocelyn Johanna See (committee adviser) and director William Rogando (committee chairman), aimed to promote trade collaboration and cultural exchange between young entrepreneurs from the Philippines and Vietnam.
One of the key highlights of the trip was participation in Vietnam Expo 2025 at the Hanoi International Exhibition Center. Organized by VINEXAD JSC under the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, the annual trade fair has been a key platform for business promotion since its establishment in 1991.
The group also visited several industrial and manufacturing sites including Amber An Quang Industrial Park in Hoa Binh Province and Bao Minh Bakery & Confectionery Joint Stock Company, a leading Vietnamese food manufacturer. The visits provided insights into local industry practices and investment opportunities.
The delegation also engaged in cultural activities to better understand Vietnam’s heritage. Sites visited included the Temple of Literature, a historic Confucian temple and former national university, and St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Hanoi’s oldest church that has withstood multiple wars.
The group also explored Thien Giang Cave in Halong Bay, known for its unique limestone formations.
In Ninh Binh province, the delegates experienced a traditional sampan boat ride along the Ngo Dong River, witnessing the unique “leg rowing” technique used by local boatmen and observing the scenic landscape of rice paddies, limestone hills and village life.
Culinary experiences were also part of the itinerary. The group sampled well-known Vietnamese dishes such as Pho, Bánh mì, and Egg Coffee, providing a deeper appreciation of the country’s food culture.
