Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) president Victor Lim attended the event.

Lim noted that Dehua, part of Quanzhou City and one of southern Fujian’s seven historic counties, is the ancestral home of many Filipino-Chinese families.

Globally recognized as one of China’s three ancient porcelain capitals, Dehua boasts of over a thousand years of porcelain-making history and is a celebrated cradle of Chinese ceramic culture.

Under the leadership and careful management of people’s government, De Hua County makes great achievements in economic development and social progress. Industry, agricultural and tourism areas are developing rapidly, with huge potential for investment.

Victor said that using porcelain as the focus of the conference was a smart idea. The Philippines gets most of its porcelain from China, and it is one of the most commonly used materials in construction. He said that the Philippine porcelain market is expected to grow to $5.26 million by 2029, with a yearly growth rate of 6.26 percent from 2024 to 2029.

Lim said the conference is a good platform to promote business cooperation.

He also said that the FFCCCII continues to act as a bridge, helping strengthen economic, trade and cultural ties between the Philippines and China. Michael Wong Ho
