Caloocan calls OFWs, seafarers to vaccine sites

The Caloocan City Government has opened its vaccination sites for all Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and seafarers who wish to be vaccinated.

Starting Friday, August 27, OFWs and seafarers can walk-in to any open vaccination site in Caloocan at any time. No vaccination pass or online appointment is required.

These persons only need to bring a Valid ID and ballpen and their Seaman’s book, OWWA Certificate, or call sheet from the office they are asked to report abroad.

According to Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan, the purpose of this step is to give priority and help vaccinate OFWs and seafarers in their work abroad.

“Our local government wants to help our constituents who will work abroad. Apart from the requirement that they need to be vaccinated, it is important that they have protection against the virus,” he said.
