Fuel marking

The Department of Finance reports that 18.29 billion liters of fuel were marked by the government from Sept. 4, 2019 to Jan. 14, 2021 under the Fuel Marking Program. Data from the department show that of the total volume of fuel marked, Petron Corp. accounted for 4.19 billion liters, followed by Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. with 3.6 billion liters and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. with 1.9 billion liters. The Bureau of Customs raised P154.43 billion in duties and taxes as of Jan. 14, while the Bureau of Internal Revenue collected P24.37 billion in excise taxes from gasoline, diesel, kerosene and other fuel products as of Jan. 7, 2021.
