The ride-hailing app recorded tens of thousands of downloads within its first 48 hours, demonstrating a significant public appetite for sustainable transportation solutions in Metro Manila.
GSM’s expansion into the Philippines is a strategic move to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility across Southeast Asia. The Green GSM fleet consists entirely of modern VinFast Nerio Green electric cars, which offer emission-free rides and are equipped with the Secure to Safe (S2S) active safety monitoring system, prioritizing passenger safety.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, GSM’s Global CEO, remarked on the strong initial reception: “Green GSM is more than just an electric taxi service; it represents a green mobility revolution in the Philippines. The Green GSM app is designed for user-friendliness, facilitating quick ride bookings and real-time journey tracking. Transparent pricing is maintained through in-vehicle fare meters and clearly displayed app rates. To encourage adoption, Green GSM is offering new users 500 Green Points (equivalent to PHP 500) redeemable as discounts on their first seven rides, valid until August 31, 2025.
