Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant, Admiral Ronnie Gil Gavan has appointed PCG Spokesperson, Captain Noemie Guirao-Cayabyab, as the new Coast Guard Public Affairs Service (CGPAS) Acting Commander.
During the turnover ceremony at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila, former CGPAS Acting Commander, Commodore Algier Ricafrente, relinquished his duties and responsibilities to Captain Cayabyab.
Commodore Ricafrente currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for International Affairs, CG-5.
He welcomed the newly installed CGPAS Acting Commander and expressed his gratitude to the PCG Commandant for his support, guidance, and confidence in the CGPAS during his leadership. Vince Lopez
Ricafrente also thanked the men and women of CGPAS for their dedication, professionalism, and support.
For her part, Cayabyab conveyed her gratitude to Admiral Gavan for entrusting her with the opportunity to lead the CGPAS, specifically in conducting information operations in support of the Command’s mandated functions.
She also recognized Commodore Ricafrente for strengthening the foundation of the Coast Guard’s public affairs initiatives.
