VinFast is making a significant charge into the Philippine EV market with the official launching of its VF 6 B-segment SUV and introducing a groundbreaking free charging program. The Vietnamese automaker also announced strategic partnerships with local dealerships and major banks, underscoring its commitment to accelerating green mobility in the country.
The VF 6 is available in Eco (PHP 1,419,000) and Plus (PHP 1,610,000) trims, with Eco variant deliveries expected to commence in May 2025. To further ease the transition to electric vehicles, VinFast is offering an attractive buyback program across its entire lineup, guaranteeing up to 90% of the original value.
Developed with Torino Design, the VF 6 boasts a modern aesthetic inspired by “The Duality in Nature.” Its compact dimensions belie a spacious interior, comparable to many C-segment gasoline models, thanks to its dedicated EV architecture. The VF 6 packs a punch with an electric motor delivering up to 150 kW and 310 Nm of torque, offering a range of up to 480 km on a single charge. Safety is paramount with 20 advanced driver-assistance features and eight airbags.
VinFast is also backing its vehicles with a competitive 7-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty. Beyond its showrooms, the company is collaborating with Motech and JIGA to establish a nationwide network of 100 authorized service centers by the end of 2025.
A major highlight is VinFast’s free charging program at V-GREEN operated stations, valid until May 1, 2027, effectively providing “zero fuel cost” for customers. V-GREEN aims to deploy an ambitious 15,000 charging ports across the Philippines in 2025. On this occasion, VinFast also signed MOUs with EastWest Bank and Banco de Oro (BDO) to develop financial solutions supporting the adoption of electric vehicles in the Philippines. Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, expressed excitement about the VF 6’s potential in the Philippines, while Nguyen Thanh Duong, CEO of V-GREEN, highlighted their commitment to building a comprehensive EV ecosystem
