POCARI Sweat-backed Arlan Arbois, Jr. made a breakthrough campaign in the tough and prestigious Tokyo Marathon over the weekend.
The 24-year-old 2023 Cambodia Southeast Asian Games silver medalist clocked two hours, 24 minutes and 24 seconds in finishing 125th out of 38,000 participants in the 42.195-kilometer race considered as the 7th toughest marathon in the world.
The Philippine Army personnel surpassed his previous personal best of 2:26.38 he registered in a local event in December.
Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd Philippines President and Managing Director Ken Saito congratulated Arbois and the rest of the Philippine Team members who participated in the tournament.
As official partner of the Tokyo Marathon 2025, Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. was in close coordination with the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association, which financed the trip of the Filipino marathoners.
