MARY Jane Veloso has reiterated her appeal for clemency from President Marcos following the recent grant of royal clemency to 220 Filipinos convicted of various offenses.
In a social media post, Edre Olalia, one of Veloso’s lawyers, said the clemency was timely as Veloso celebrated her 40th birthday on Friday.

Veloso was repatriated last month after spending almost 15 years in Indonesia’s death row following conviction on drug charges.
She is currently detained at the Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong City where she celebrated her birthday.
