Fifteen newly promoted flag officers and generals of the Philippine Navy formally took their oath before President and Commander-in-Chief Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at Malacañan Palace.
“For 89 years, the Armed Forces of the Philippines has been the bedrock of our sovereignty, protecting our land, our people, and our freedom. This gathering reminds us that the true measure of service is not found in accolades, ranks, or promotions. It lies in the fulfillment of your duty to uphold the integrity of our nation and to ensure the safety and security of every Filipino citizen,” President Marcos emphasized during the ceremony.
The newly promoted flag and general officers are:
- Vice Adm. Alfonso Torres Jr. – Commander, Western Command, AFP
- Vice Adm. Caesar Bernard Valencia – Superintendent, Philippine Military Academy
- LtGen. Jimmy Larida PN(M) – Deputy Chief of Staff, J3, AFP
- Rear Adm. Francisco Tagamolila Jr. – Commander, Naval Forces Western Mindanao
- Rear Adm. Roy Vincent Trinidad – The Naval Inspector General
- Rear Adm. Joe Anthony Orbe – Commander, Philippine Fleet
- Rear Adm. Felipe Bautista – Deputy Chief of Staff for C4ISTAR Systems, J6, AFP
- Commo. Richard Gonzaga – Deputy Commander, AFP Education, Training and Doctrine Command
- BGen. Rodyer Dela Peña PN(M) – Deputy Commander, Naval Installation Command
- Commo. Vincent Sibala – Commander, Littoral Combat Force, Philippine Fleet
- BGen. Gregorio Hernandez Jr. PN(M) – Commander, Combat Support Brigade, Philippine Marine Corps
