Marcos declares special non-working days in various municipalities

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. issued a series of proclamations declaring special non-working days in several municipalities and cities across the Philippines throughout late November and December. The declarations allow local communities to observe significant events and celebrations.

Under the proclamations, November 27, 2024, is declared a special non-working day in Baggao, Cagayan.

In December, Cainta in Rizal Province will observe its special day on Monday, December 2, followed by M’lang, Cotabato, on Friday, December 6.

San Juan in Batangas will mark its non-working day on Thursday, December 12, while Calatagan, also in Batangas, will observe its holiday on Monday, December 16.

Additional dates include Wednesday, December 18, for Tuguegarao, Cagayan, and Thursday, December 19, for Diplahan in Zamboanga Sibugay. 

Sipalay in Negros Occidental will observe its holiday on Friday, December 20, and Sto. Niño, South Cotabato, on Monday, December 23.

These proclamations enable local governments to commemorate foundation anniversaries, historical events, and cultural traditions unique to each area.
