Rushing rivers

People are rescued and evacuated Tuesday by boat during flooding in Kucukcekmece district in Istanbul, a major port and largest city in Turkey. Two people died in flash floods from torrential rains that turned the streets of Istanbul, known for the house of the Ottoman Sultans and the Topkapı Palace, with its blue ceramics, into rushing rivers, officials said.
