Cotabato earthquake victims get clean water

Megawide Foundation and Citicore Summa Waters recently supplied potable water to 400 evacuee families in Barangay Bulakanun, Makilala, Cotabato City, by installing a special filtration system.

The Malasila River served as the source of water for the project.

“After a series of earthquakes late last year, the families in Makilala had no access to safe drinking water,” explained Sheila Lynn Nawata, Megawide Foundation chief operating officer. “The foundation partnered with Citicore Summa Waters to install a filtration system for the community last November, and is committed to providing it until the supply of potable water is stabilized.”
