Marcventures Mining and Development Corp. says it welcomes President Rodrigo Duterte’s invitation to mining firms, particularly Marcventures, to present to him the facts that would belie and debunk allegations contained in reports allegedly submitted by Secretary-designate Gina Lopez. In a statement, Marcventurses, which offers mining, smelting, and extracting of mineral ores which include nickel, chromites, copper, gold, and manganese, says ‘we are extremely confident that [our] mining operations are performed in a clean and responsible manner [and] has uplifted the quality of life of host communities in its Surigao del Sur operations. It can submit evidence through pictures and videos of its operations showing no siltation and that its mined-out areas are progressively being rehabilitated…we invite and challenge Ms. Lopez to visit and observe on the ground—rather than just [make] a helicopter flyover—in the Marcventures MPSA area to see for herself the clean rivers and silt-free farms which prove our responsible mining practices.’
