Bomb scare grips schools near Malacañang

Several schools near Malacañang in Manila received bomb threats on Monday morning.

The College of Holy Spirit in Mendiola has suspended classes in elementary, high school and college levels due to a bomb scare.

The Centro Escolar University (CEU) in San Rafael Street also received a bomb threat through message on Facebook from a certain ‘Abu Raja,’ who claimed he is a member of the Abu Sayyaf.

Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology in Sampaloc also received a bomb threat.

These schools did not suspend classes and asked the police to check their premises.

The Manila Police District’s seach for bombs inside these campuses, including San Beda College, yielded negative results.
